Meditation Mondayz

I find meditating so needed especially at this time in the world. It’s so easy to get caught up in the negative thought process of others, that we need to take moments to our self to cleanse our mind. Reprogram our thoughts. Mediation doesn’t belong to a race nor a religion. We all must meditate, especially if were looking to get closer to the higher source. At first I found meditating difficult. I couldn’t stop thinking and sometimes I would even fell asleep. But listening to Super Soul Sunday podcast and even watching videos on YouTube about meditation it began to feel like this is something I need. So I didnt give up, I started off slow and I didnt force myself to do 30 mins to a hour no. I would start off with 5-7mins meditating early morning right after I wake. If I fell asleep I knew it was what my body needed. I used soft rain sounds on Apple Music or Abundance chant music on YouTube. I would also like to lay out my crystals around me even hold the ones I felt I really needed at the time in my hand or around my neck. Pick the perfect location where you can be at peace in full serenity. It can be outside, in your bed, in your garden, its all depends on you. I personally meditate wherever I can whenever. I choose a comfortable place and begin. I began to close my eyes allow thoughts to come and allow them to go. The more I focus on my breath the more all thoughts disappear. When a thought or suggestion comes to mind I allow it to be there and leave. I than feel a sense of joy and peace that enters my body. I feel more inspired, creative ideas surface. This is why I continue to return to meditation. As a writer and creative director it’s important for me to do things that enhance my creativity. So I created Meditation Monday to encourage all people of color that yes you can meditate too. It’s not weird it doesn’t make you apart of any religion its all natural. Something our minds desire and need.
