Black Yogi
The moment I was introduced to yoga I feel in love. Just about 11 years old. I noticed very early on how yoga calmed not just my mind but my body as well. However I realized Yoga was something that I loved but needed. I went days, weeks, sometimes, months with doing no yoga. There was a shift not just in my physical health but mental health as well. So I got back in my groove. It didn’t matter if was on vacation with my family, or IN THE COMFORT OF MY home. I was going to do some yoga.
Most people think Yoga came from India but facts prove that Kemetic Yoga started way before Yoga was found in India. Ancient Egyptian illustrations prove that Egyptians practiced yoga. So you see yoga is not a white people thing Yoga is our thing.
I was so happy when I found out about Kemetic Yoga. It made me really start doing my research and dive in. I can honestly say I feel energy shift when doing Kemetic Yoga. Which really works with movement of energy through the body to connect to ones higher intelligence. Which is why your vibrations will be lifted after one session. You're really working with your chakras and meditation.
I feel connected to the spirits whenever I’m doing Kemetic Yoga hard to put in words the exact feeling. Its peaceful and really gets me back in alignment.
FURTHERMORE I started doing Yoga more at home since things are still slowly opening up. I found some really cool Yoga instructors on YouTube. One is Abiola Akanni I love doing yoga to her videos. Most of her sessions are more Kemet than asana which I appreciate. I feel so connected during my yoga practices. The energy my body feels once Im done. I feel so rejuvenated and light. The breathing exercises help ease my mind. She offers a variety of videos. There’s even videos you can do for 15 mins when your just waking up getting your day started.
Down below are a couple of my favorite videos….
