Top 5 Food Spots
I recently relocated to East Bay. Yay areaaa! I am originally from San Francisco food on this side of town is a bit different. There are way more fast-food restaurants. So I had to make sure I found some really good food spots. I love good food. Like the kind of food you get and can taste the love and passion in every bite. So I wanted to share with you all my top favorite food spots in Vallejo. You must try even if you have to book a flight to Cali. Take my word.
CHEF KB- I love this man’s food. You can tell he’s very passionate when he’s cooking. Everything is amazing. Literally everything. He has different days where he offers different meals. Tuesday Alfredo, SoulFood Wednesday, and my favorite Mac n Cheese Thursdays. Of course, I went back every day to try all menus. It was so worth it. The food is very flavorful and fulfilling most times I never finish my whole plate. I love how he puts honey on the Mac n Cheese. Yes, honey right! He also has other choices of sauce you can add. My second favorite is the Foxy Brown. Screaming! Getting hungry thinking about it. If you ever in the city you have to check out ChefKb. Below I added his Insta so you can check him out.

2. RubyJewelsCatering- Ruby is so good my son wants me literally to go everyday. He’ll settle for once a week. RubyJewels has everything from seafood, BBQ, and even funnel cakes. I love seafood so my first time I got the lobster plate with garlic noodles Mac and cheese and green beans. Fire! I couldn’t finish my whole plate. The noodles were perfect and the lobster was cooked just right. I can’t stand a dry Blane ass lobster honestly. I also tried the salmon nuggets. Never had fried salmon. so happy I decided to try it. full of flavor in one bite.I’m so happy I have a spot I can get my seafood meals from. The wings OMG you wouldn’t wanna go to FireWings, Wing stop, or BuffaloWildWings. No hype. Every flavor is so delicious finger-licking good. Hmmm and the funnel cakes perfect dessert after either one of Rubys Meal.

3. Vegan heat- I recently started back eating vegan I was vegan a couple of years ago and got thrown off during the pandemic. I’ve been searching for good veggie and vegan spots this side of town. I normally go to Oakland we know. I found the spot! This girl gets down! I was highly impressed. Although you can only find her own door dash. It’s more than worth it. I was craving her empanadas for weeks. She makes soul food, seafood, and yes VEGAN seafood, Mediterranean, and more. Below is her insta where you can check her out. She posts her menu daily.

4. Chef Dee SunnySidePopUp- I actually drove by one day I couldn’t stop at that time so I looked them up. I was happy to find a more soul food type of breakfast right here in Vallejo. They have shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, plus many more. I love breakfast cooked with soul. You will not catch me at a IHOP, or Dennys lol. I decided on the breakfast burrito since I was still on the move. This was the best breakfast burrito I had. It was huge full of ingredients. I tasted the potatoes, eggs, cheese, and sou cream in just one bite.

5.Vallejo Chef- Another black business that gets down. I love how he offers different options. Pasta, loaded potato, fish and chips, and more. I had the shrimp po boy was so good I will be back for sure. The po boy was so good and not dry at all it was gone less than 5 minutes. What I love he is also in the same spot as Sunnyside, Ruby Jewels, and Chef KB. I can’t wait to try his
