~Self Care Sunday~

Sundays are days where we should take personal time and check-in with ourselves. Especially at a time like this. Not only are we protecting ourselves from COVID but also from racism. As a woman of color myself, I have to fight against racism every time I walk out of my front door. The only thing now is we’re in a time where racism can be quickly recorded. Not only people of color are tired everyone is fed up with white supremacy. With all the recent events the death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and many more who have been killed or harmed by the injustice of this system. It’s been mentally emotionally and physically draining. I’ve felt depleted. At times I have no energy for even words. So I thought for this Self Care Sunday a spiritual bath is much needed. I needed herbs candles sage and more to get myself back centered. As humans, it’s only so much we can take. We have to pay attention to our bodies and minds. When my body feels as drained as it has recently. I know it’s time for my spiritual bath. I like to personally take a clean shower first just rinse all that bad energy and toxins off first. After I take a shower I get my bath ready for the vibes. I love candles, incenses, and sage. I then start getting my bath prepared. I’ll put my QueenV bubble bath run some hot water. Not too hot but hot enough to relax my body into the herbs.

I also add some Himalayan Pink Salt to ease my muscles.

I  love adding crystals to bath as well as herbs and beautiful roses and flowers.  But before I insert my peppermint and hibiscus herbs in the bath I boil in some hot water first. Just so I can really get the effect of these herbs. I choose peppermint herb because I have been feeling so depleted and peppermint is known to give you that energy to press on. Hibiscus is a good herb for lowering the blood pressure, the antioxidants in hibiscus provide protective properties against stomach cancer and leukemia. It’s also good for the skin it provides a natural exfoliate, improves the elasticity, and gives your skin a smooth soft butter touch. I love love using hibiscus in my spiritual baths. I also used this bath tray I found on Amazon. I’ll leave the link below. But this tray is amazing I can seat my wine glass candle and book on all at the same time. I was able to get into deep relaxation with my bath my body was so free from all the tension of the world. It felt amazing. I put som tranquility tunes by chilled cow it’s my favorite YouTube music channel. Especially for nice bath relaxation vibes. I got deep into my bath. I used my favorite SheaMoisture African Black Body Wash and Honeypot Sensitive Vagnial soap. This body wash is the absolute best its exfoliating and smells so wonderful. Honey pot with all the recent controversy on honey pot if you don’t have at least one her product and you're a woman your tripping. I love her soap and her wipes. All vegan-friendly products may that are sensitive and healthy for you sweet pie. I like to call her. But this soap is amazing it’s sensitive but still smells awesome and you feel so fresh and amazing after.

Have to try yourself. Take this beautiful Sunday to do you. Take care of you I would start with a nice spiritual bath. If your not into that cool just do you! Do some yoga, self-reflection, write, listen to music or enjoy the garden. Take care of yourself this Sunday.
